Our client is an independent Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy who are seeking a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to be based in their Ipswich office. The role will require the postholder to undertake the design and detailing of civil and structural engineering schemes primarily within the Highways sector encompassing feasibility studies, inspections, surveys, reports, calculations and contract administration. There will, further, be responsibility for preparing fee proposals and managing projects from inception to completion. Suitable candidates are likely to have a degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and wide ranging Highways and Infrastructure sector design experience preferably gained within a consultancy environment. Applicants are likely to be competent users of AutoCAD, microdrainage and PDS and be comfortable in client facing roles. Candidates with a demonstrable track record of business development or similar outlook and aptitude are likely to find themselves at an advantage.
